They’re about kindness\, generosity\, and making sure everyone in our community feels a little love during the Christmas season. \nAt The River’s Edge\, we’re more than just a campground. We’re a family\, and one of the best things about our TRE family is how we come together to make a difference beyond our gates. \nOur Annual Toy Drive has become a cherished TRE tradition\, and once again\, we’re asking our members to help bring a little Christmas magic to children and families right here in our local community. \nFor some families\, the holidays can be especially challenging. While many of us look forward to gathering with loved ones\, exchanging gifts\, and celebrating the season\, there are parents wondering how they’ll put presents under the tree. That’s where a small act of kindness from our TRE family can make a big difference. \nHow Can You Help? \nDonate a New\, Unwrapped Toy: Whether it’s a teddy bear\, a board game\, a doll\, or a toy truck\, your gift could bring a huge smile to a local child’s face on Christmas morning. \nPrefer to Give Cash? Absolutely! Cash donations are always welcome\, and we’ll gladly do the shopping for you. Every dollar helps us reach even more children. \nComing to Camp Soon? Simply drop off your toys or monetary donations at the TRE office during your visit. \nDonation Deadline: December 6\, 2026 \nOver the years\, our members have donated countless toys\, helping us spread holiday cheer throughout our surrounding community. Every gift stays local\, supporting children and families in the communities around us. \nYou don’t have to give a lot to make a difference. Sometimes\, something as simple as a $10 toy can create a Christmas memory a child will treasure. \nThis is what makes TRE special. We come together to celebrate\, laugh\, make memories\, and enjoy our little slice of paradise. But just as importantly\, we come together to take care of our neighbors. \nTo everyone who has donated in years past\, thank you! DESCRIPTION:Thanksgiving Weekend at The River’s Edge 🦃🎄 \nWhy spend Thanksgiving weekend sitting at home when you can spend it with your TRE family? \nJoin us for a long holiday weekend filled with great food\, football\, cocktails\, campfires\, a little Sexy Grinch mischief\, and plenty of Christmas cheer. We’ll kick things off with our traditional Thanksgiving Potluck\, then keep the weekend rolling with the Big Cock Tailgate Party\, a Sexy Grinch Meet & Greet around the bonfire\, and a Saturday packed with holiday fun. \nStart Saturday with Bloody Marys & Mimosas while trimming the Clubhouse tree\, show off your creativity in our Festival of Trees Decorating Contest\, gather around the table again for our Fall/Winter Potluck\, and then bundle up in your ugliest Christmas sweater for our annual pilgrimage to the Lunsford Farms Christmas Light Tour. \nIt’s part Thanksgiving gathering\, part Christmas kickoff\, and completely TRE — good food\, good drinks\, ridiculous fun\, and the people who make this place feel like home. \n🏕️ Come hungry. Bring a dish. Decorate a tree. Wear something festive. Stay for the weekend. \nThursday\, November 26 \n2pm – Thanksgiving Potluck @ Clubhouse\nTRE provides 1 large Turkey & Ham\, iced tea/sweet tea. Please bring your favorite dish to pass\, ready-to-serve dish at the clubhouse by 1:45pm as we begin serving PROMPTLY at 2pm! \nFriday\, November 28 \n2pm – Big Cock Tailgate Party (Annual Site 51)\nPull up with your favorite snack to share and wear your favorite jersey and jock combo! Football on outdoor TV screen or music pending weather. Some snacks and booze provided – recommended BYOB.\n7pm – Meet and Greet – Theme “Sexy Grinch” (Bonfire Pit) \nSaturday\, November 29 \n11:00am – A Bloody Mary & Mimosa Tree Trimming (Clubhouse)\n12:00am – Festival of Trees Decorating Contest – The campground has a few trees\, but bring your own tree to decorate downtown TRE or display at your annual site. Pick a theme and get creative! We want them be out and about until after New Year’s.\n6pm – Saturday Fall/Winter Potluck (Clubhouse)\nMake sure you have your ready-to-serve dish at the clubhouse by 5:45 as we begin serving PROMPTLY at 6pm! Festival of Trees Winners will be announced at Dinner.\n7:30pm – Lunsford Farms Christmas Light Tour.  If you’d like to attend\, meet at the clubhouse at 7. Wear your ugliest holiday sweater and decorate your car for a brilliant holiday kick off. **weather permitting**
