They’re about kindness\, generosity\, and making sure everyone in our community feels a little love during the Christmas season. \nAt The River’s Edge\, we’re more than just a campground. We’re a family\, and one of the best things about our TRE family is how we come together to make a difference beyond our gates. \nOur Annual Toy Drive has become a cherished TRE tradition\, and once again\, we’re asking our members to help bring a little Christmas magic to children and families right here in our local community. \nFor some families\, the holidays can be especially challenging. While many of us look forward to gathering with loved ones\, exchanging gifts\, and celebrating the season\, there are parents wondering how they’ll put presents under the tree. That’s where a small act of kindness from our TRE family can make a big difference. \nHow Can You Help? \nDonate a New\, Unwrapped Toy: Whether it’s a teddy bear\, a board game\, a doll\, or a toy truck\, your gift could bring a huge smile to a local child’s face on Christmas morning. \nPrefer to Give Cash? Absolutely! Cash donations are always welcome\, and we’ll gladly do the shopping for you. Every dollar helps us reach even more children. \nComing to Camp Soon? Simply drop off your toys or monetary donations at the TRE office during your visit. \nDonation Deadline: December 6\, 2026 \nOver the years\, our members have donated countless toys\, helping us spread holiday cheer throughout our surrounding community. Every gift stays local\, supporting children and families in the communities around us. \nYou don’t have to give a lot to make a difference. Sometimes\, something as simple as a $10 toy can create a Christmas memory a child will treasure. \nThis is what makes TRE special. We come together to celebrate\, laugh\, make memories\, and enjoy our little slice of paradise. But just as importantly\, we come together to take care of our neighbors. \nTo everyone who has donated in years past\, thank you! Say goodbye to 2026\, set your intentions for the year ahead\, and celebrate New Year’s the TRE way—equal parts sparkle\, tradition\, good food\, questionable decisions\, and great company. \nNote: This weekend is a Winter Holiday accommodation rate. \n\nThursday\, December 31st:\n8 – 9 pm: Meet and Greet – New Years Intentions (Bonfire Pit)\nLet’s write down what we want to leave in 2026 and burn it\, then write we want we want in the new year and burn it like witches.\n \n10 – Until??? New Year’s Eve Crystal Ball (Clubhouse)\nCome dressed in crystals\, rhinestones\, sparkles\, gems\, glitter\, sequins and reflect your finest self. Glitter and be GAY\, darlings!\n \n \nFriday\, January 1st 2027:\n11 am: Hair of the Dog Mixer (Clubhouse Deck)\nMimosa’s and Bloody Mary’s…the only way to get over what you did last night\n\n2:00 pm: Lucky Traditions Potluck (Clubhouse)\nBlack eyed peas? Lentils? Cabbage and Collard Greens? Let’s feast to good fortune in 2027.\n\n8 – 10pm: Smores ‘n Whores (Annual Site 201)\nHead to Aaron & Ronnie’s for campfire vibes\, music\, a loaded s’mores bar\, and cocktails on tap. Just bring a chair and your charm.\n\n\nSaturday\, January 2nd 2027:\n11am: Brunch Pot Luck…A girl’s gotta eat (Clubhouse)\n\nBring your favorite breakfast/brunch dish to share.\n\n1:00 pm: Campfire Story Hour\n    Bring a chair and get ready to share. We’ll start with a little Storytime with Ms. Linda and then we’ll pass around prompts for all to share a quick story.\n    Hot chocolate\, hot cider and hot Coffee provided as we keep each other warm around a daytime campfire. Will there be peppermint schnapps\, kalua and fireball to add to our hot beverages? Duh…of course!\n\n8 pm: White Elephant Gift Swap (Clubhouse)\n    Everyone’s favorite time of the year…our annual tradition continues. Bring a wrapped gift and your sense of humor. Something old\, something new\, something filthy\, something crude.
